New program offers high-tech solution to make schools safer

The CEO of the company says the tipping point for him was the tragedy at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde where 19 children and two teachers died. He says those first minutes of response are critical. The goal with these drones is respond in five seconds and be on the shooter in 15 seconds.
"If we could put drones like this everywhere, just like you have school sprinkler systems, we could get there in seconds and we could help save lives…Being there on site already, we fly them from our central ops center. It’s really like having, you know, a SEAL Team in the parking lot ready to go, but it is being flown from a centralized ops center that every school in Texas can have that kind of capability right thereon site, immediately available.”
